Suzlon Energy secured its first order for the new S175 5 MW turbine from Sunsure Energy. The agreement comes just two weeks after the product's official launch. The 105 MW project in Bijapur, Karnataka, involves the supply, erection, and commissioning of 21 next-generation turbines.
This deal marks the commercial debut of India's tallest and most powerful wind turbine. Sunsure has now placed three orders with Suzlon in less than 14 months. Total business between the two firms exceeds 400 MW, signaling a deepening partnership.
Suzlon Energy shares rose nearly 1.5% during Tuesday's intraday trading following the announcement. The successful commercial launch serves as a positive indicator for future order flows and revenue.
