CEO Elon Musk announced that Tesla will expand its fully autonomous robotaxi service nationwide by late 2024. Musk shared the update via video link at the Smart Mobility Summit in Tel Aviv. The service currently operates without human safety monitors in Austin, Dallas, and Houston.

The U.S.-wide rollout follows pilot programs in Texas cities. Tesla intends to leverage its Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology to lead the autonomous vehicle market.

Investors are closely monitoring robotaxi developments as Tesla faces slowing vehicle sales. Despite reports of long wait times in Texas, the company is proceeding with its nationwide strategy.
