Toyota Motor Corporation reported a 4.8% year-over-year decline in global vehicle sales for July 2026. The company sold 856,125 units worldwide during the month. Global production decreased by 2.1%.

Sales in China plunged 24.3%, marking the sixth consecutive monthly decline in that market. Toyota attributed the downturn to high gasoline prices reducing demand for hybrid and conventional vehicles. Middle East sales dropped 44.5%. U.S. sales slipped 0.8%.

Domestic sales in Japan rose 11%. Production in China fell 32.7%. U.S. production decreased 4.0%. Japan production increased 12.4%.
