Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) will increase its annual manufacturing capacity to 1.3 million units over the next three years. This expansion addresses sustained demand for internal combustion engine, CNG, and electric vehicle models. Monthly demand currently averages 70,000 units.
The company will add 300,000 units of annual capacity at its Sanand plant in Gujarat. This move pushes total installed capacity beyond the one-million-unit threshold. The expansion provides enhanced manufacturing flexibility across various vehicle platforms.
TMPV will also implement a price hike of up to 1.5% effective July 1, 2026. This measure aims to offset rising input costs.
