Tesla's Shanghai factory delivered 85,982 China-made Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in May.

This volume represents a 39.4% increase from the same month last year. Deliveries rose 8.2% from April levels.

The China Passenger Car Association reported these figures, which include domestic sales and exports to Europe. This performance marks the seventh consecutive month of year-over-year growth for the company.

Tesla maintained its market position despite intensifying competition from local rivals like BYD. The growth occurred as China's broader new energy vehicle market expanded.
