European vehicle regulators are meeting in Brussels to evaluate EU-wide approval for Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology. The Dutch road authority is advocating for the system following its provisional approval in April. This regulatory milestone is central to Tesla’s strategy to recover market share and grow European subscription revenue.

Regulators from Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway expressed skepticism regarding the system’s safety. Reported concerns include the software exceeding speed limits and its performance on icy roads. Officials also noted that drivers can potentially circumvent existing safety features.

The outcome of the hearing remains pending. TSLA shares rose marginally in premarket trading following the reports.
