Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) fleet surpassed 10 billion cumulative miles on May 4, 2026. CEO Elon Musk previously identified this 10-billion-mile mark as the data threshold required for safe, unsupervised autonomy. This milestone follows the April 2026 launch of Tesla’s unsupervised Robotaxi service in Dallas and Houston.

The fleet currently adds nearly 28.8 million miles of data every day. The most recent billion miles were recorded in just 31 days. Tesla utilizes this expanding trove of real-world driving data to refine its AI and scale autonomous vehicle services.
