Tesla launched its Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised system in China on May 21, 2026. The company confirmed the availability via official social media for the world's largest electric vehicle market.

Tesla targets a full fleet-wide rollout by the third quarter of 2026. Broader regulatory approval remains pending while the company coordinates with Chinese officials. The system currently requires a one-time payment of 64,000 yuan. No monthly subscription option has been introduced for the Chinese market yet.

Analysts believe the launch will boost Tesla's sales and accelerate competition in the local autonomous driving sector. Tesla established a local data center to comply with Chinese data regulations. The company is also hiring test technicians to support the regional rollout.
