Apple plans to manufacture its future A22 Pro flagship chip using TSMC’s 1.4nm process technology. This advanced System on a Chip (SoC) will debut in the premium 2028 iPhone model.

The 1.4nm node provides a 15% to 16% performance increase at the same power level. It can also achieve a 27% to 30% reduction in power consumption for the same performance.

TSMC’s stock rose 1.7% in pre-market trading on June 17, 2026. The share price reached $433.10 following the report.
