In a significant reversal, Ray Dalio's Bridgewater Associates sold off 96.79% of its position in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSM) during the second quarter of 2026. The move comes just one quarter after the hedge fund giant established a major new stake in the chipmaker, which was then its tenth-largest holding valued at $364 million. The fund's holding has now been reduced to just 34,520 shares, worth approximately $16.49 million as of the June 30 reporting date.

This trade was disclosed in a quarterly 13F filing with the SEC, which details holdings as of June 30, 2026, so the trades could have occurred any time during the second quarter. The filing reveals a swift change in sentiment after Bridgewater had aggressively bought into AI-related semiconductor firms in the first quarter of the year. Bridgewater also significantly reduced its holdings in another chipmaker, Micron Technology, during the same period.
