TSMC’s Kumamoto subsidiary, Japan Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Inc (JASM), achieved its first quarterly profit in Q1 2026. The joint venture reported a profit of NT$951 million (US$30.19 million). Mass production at the site began in late 2024. The results indicate improving production utilization.
TSMC’s Arizona subsidiary posted a Q1 profit of NT$18.81 billion. This figure exceeds the NT$16.14 billion earned during the full previous year. The results reflect the ramp-up of TSMC’s overseas manufacturing sites.
