Uber is partnering with Israeli AI firm Autobrains to launch a Level 4 autonomous robotaxi program in Munich, Germany. The companies announced the initiative at the GTC technology conference in Taipei. The program's deployment remains subject to regulatory approval.

The collaboration integrates Autobrains' Agentic AI software with the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform. Uber will deploy this technology stack within vehicles on its existing ride-hailing network.

The project utilizes a vehicle-agnostic model to scale autonomous technology across various vehicle platforms and cities. Munich serves as the initial deployment site due to its complex urban environment and established regulatory framework for autonomous mobility. This initiative establishes a new commercialization path for Uber by combining its network with specialized autonomous vehicle partners.
