Visa partnered with Dunamu, operator of South Korea’s largest crypto exchange Upbit, on August 28, 2026. The collaboration integrates Dunamu’s digital asset technology with Visa’s global payments network to develop next-generation financial services.

The companies will explore stablecoin-based payment and remittance services to bridge digital assets with traditional finance. Research will also focus on AI-powered agentic commerce, where AI agents autonomously purchase goods and services for users.

Initiatives will roll out in phases while prioritizing regulatory compliance and transparency. The partnership will examine business models using OUSD, an open-standard stablecoin backed by a consortium including Visa.
