PepsiCo signed a multi-year agreement with autonomous trucking firm Gatik to expand driverless freight across North America. This partnership represents the largest commercial deployment of autonomous freight to date.
The initiative aims to increase transportation capacity and address regional driver shortages. Gatik’s AI-powered trucks currently operate for PepsiCo in Texas, Arizona, and Arkansas.
The fleet handles time-sensitive deliveries between distribution centers. These operations currently maintain an on-time delivery rate of over 98 percent.
