Walmart (WMT) reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of $177.8 billion. The Bentonville, Arkansas-based retailer saw total revenue increase 7.3% year-over-year. Adjusted earnings per share reached $0.66, surpassing Wall Street consensus estimates.
Global e-commerce sales grew 26% during the quarter. Store-fulfilled pickup and delivery services drove this digital expansion. U.S. comparable sales, excluding fuel, rose 4.1%. E-commerce contributed approximately 5.3 percentage points to U.S. comparable sales growth.
Sam's Club net sales increased 6.1%. Sam's Club e-commerce sales jumped 23%. Walmart projects second-quarter net sales growth between 4% and 5% on a constant currency basis. The company forecasts second-quarter adjusted EPS between $0.72 and $0.74.
