Velo3D is expanding operations with a new 288,747-square-foot manufacturing facility in Livermore, California. This expansion will triple the company’s current production capacity. The project represents one of the largest metal additive manufacturing buildouts in North America.

The Livermore campus will serve as the primary production center. This shift allows the Fremont headquarters to focus on research, development, and customer collaboration.

Surging demand in the defense and aerospace industries drove the expansion. The facility will support the transition from prototyping to scaled production. Operations are scheduled to begin later this year.
