The platform enables businesses to build and securely deploy artificial intelligence agents. Each agent operates within a dedicated cloud computing environment to facilitate monetization. CEO Satya Nadella stated that every agent will require its own computer.
The strategy addresses industry fears that AI automation could reduce human-based software license sales. Businesses replacing employees with AI will now purchase licenses for each digital agent. This model ensures software revenue streams remain stable or grow as AI adoption increases.
