The project is located at a former aluminum smelter site. It involves a 20-year lease with Anthropic. The facility is expected to support a 401 MW IT load. Amid local concerns about substantial power consumption, the developer emphasized the project will not cause electricity rate hikes for other customers. This is a key stipulation of the new state mandate.
