European defense firm Helsing will establish its first U.S. manufacturing facility in West Virginia. The factory will produce the HX-2, an AI-powered strike drone currently deployed in Ukraine.

The plant will produce over 2,000 HX-2 drones per month once fully operational. Allied forces, including the U.S. Army, have extensively tested the platform.

Helsing selected West Virginia following a competitive nationwide search. This expansion supports efforts to onshore and friend-shore critical defense manufacturing to meet rising demand for mass-produced military systems.
