Lockheed Martin secured a $10.5 billion contract with U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The agreement spans 12 years and is known as Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services II (SOF GLSS 2). This represents the largest service contract vehicle in USSOCOM history.
The company will manage a global supply chain and provide maintenance for aircraft and vehicles. Lockheed Martin will also perform equipment modifications and critical infrastructure support for elite military units. This follow-on agreement continues a partnership that began in 2010.
The award ensures a substantial, long-term revenue stream for the defense contractor. Its total value represents a significant portion of the company's annual revenue.
