Rolls-Royce signed a trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation with the UK National Nuclear Laboratory (UKNNL) and the Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA). The formal signing ceremony took place at 10 Downing Street to establish the strategic partnership.
The collaboration focuses on High-Temperature Gas-Cooled Advanced Modular Reactor (AMR) technology and next-generation Coated Particle Fuel (CPF). These reactors provide a compact, rapidly deployable energy solution for off-grid civil, defense, and industrial applications.
This initiative aims to strengthen energy security and support decarbonization goals for both nations through advanced nuclear development.
