Air Products and Chemicals Inc. will launch its largest-ever investment in South Korea to construct semiconductor gas facilities for Samsung Electronics.
The project belongs to a $2 billion joint investment pledge from four U.S. firms targeting South Korea’s chip and energy sectors.
Seoul’s Industry Ministry reported the commitment, which reverses a potential exit from the country considered by Air Products two years ago.
The new facilities will provide essential industrial and rare gases for advanced semiconductor manufacturing.
This strategic move deepens the company's partnership with Samsung within the global technology supply chain.
