Tesla officially launched its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system in China. The rollout follows CEO Elon Musk’s recent visit to Beijing.
The software costs 64,000 yuan, or approximately $9,400. This pricing creates a significant new revenue stream in the world’s largest electric vehicle market.
The launch ends a period of regulatory delays. Executives previously cited ongoing approval processes as recently as April 2026.
Tesla’s Level 2 system enters a highly competitive landscape. Local Chinese rivals already offer Level 3 autonomous driving certifications.
