Exxon and QatarEnergy’s Golden Pass LNG Ships First Cargo, Entering Revenue Phase

Golden Pass LNG exported its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from the Sabine Pass terminal in Texas. QatarEnergy holds a 70% stake in the joint venture. ExxonMobil owns the remaining 30% of the project.

A QatarEnergy-owned carrier loaded the inaugural shipment on April 22, 2026. The vessel has departed for Italy to fulfill existing offtake agreements.

The event marks the official commencement of operations for the facility. The project has transitioned from development to a revenue-generating phase.
