Chinese automaker Xpeng received over 20,000 firm orders for its new Mona L03 SUV. These orders arrived within seven minutes of the official launch. Each order requires a non-refundable deposit. The vehicle is the second model under Xpeng’s mass-market Mona sub-brand, which targets younger consumers.
The Mona L03 launched simultaneously in China and Europe to compete with the BYD Yuan Plus. Xpeng set the starting price in China at 123,800 yuan ($18,300). This price is 20,000 yuan lower than the initial pre-sale figure.
The company is offering the vehicle in both all-electric and extended-range versions. This strategy aims to expand the model's appeal across a wider range of consumers.
