XPeng shares fell 5% on Friday. This decline represents the stock's worst performance since late April.

Xianming Liu, head of XPeng’s General Intelligence Center, revealed the company spends $500 million annually on AI training for autonomous driving. This expenditure equates to approximately 300 million RMB per month.

Liu disclosed the figures at the CVPR 2026 conference. XPeng also confirmed its in-house VLA2.0 model has entered mass production.
