XPeng Chairman He Xiaopeng announced the global launch of the company's second-generation Vehicle Language Assistant (VLA) on June 26, 2026. This expansion follows the United Nations World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations' adoption of DCAS UN Regulation No. 171, Series 02. The new standards will legally permit advanced autonomous driving systems in the European Union and other participating markets by the end of 2026.

XPeng actively participated in the formulation of these global standards. The company plans to introduce overseas models equipped with VLA and Vehicle Language Model (VLM) systems in 2027. This milestone enables XPeng to deploy its intelligent driving technologies in major international markets and compete directly with Tesla under a unified regulatory framework.
