BYD has become the first global automaker to produce 17 million new energy vehicles (NEVs).
The milestone vehicle, a Seal 08 flagship sedan from the Ocean Series, rolled off the assembly line at the Xi'an facility.
The company reached the 17 million mark just six months after hitting the 15 million unit threshold.
This production surge aligns with strong sales performance during the first half of 2026.
Increased overseas sales are currently driving the company's accelerating global expansion.
