BYD has launched new service packages for its God's Eye assisted-driving system to differentiate itself amid a domestic price war. The company pledged to cover all compensation and repair costs for accidents occurring while the City Navigation function is active.

The LiDAR-equipped God's Eye B system is now a 12,000 yuan ($1,770) option across the vehicle lineup. BYD’s self-developed 4-nanometer Xuanji A3 chip powers the system. This hardware is designed to support Level 3 and Level 4 autonomous driving.

This strategy intensifies competition with Tesla, Xpeng, and Nio in China’s electric vehicle market. Vertical integration of semiconductor design gives BYD full control over its assisted-driving supply chain. The company aims to cut costs and accelerate technological advancement through this internal development.
