Airbus reported a 7% decline in first-quarter 2026 revenue. Total revenue for the period reached €12.7 billion. Net profit slipped 26% to €586 million. Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) fell 52% to €300 million. These results fell below analyst expectations. Commercial aircraft deliveries dropped to 114 units from 136 in the prior year.
A persistent shortage of Pratt & Whitney engines slowed production of the best-selling A320 jets. Supply-chain disruptions led to a negative free cash flow of €2.5 billion. Inventory increased as partially assembled planes awaited components.
Airbus confirmed its full-year guidance for 2026 despite these headwinds. The company expects to deliver approximately 870 commercial aircraft this year. Management targets an adjusted EBIT of roughly €7.5 billion for the full year.
