ASML Holding NV CEO Christophe Fouquet stated the company must avoid supply constraints as it services significant new projects like Elon Musk's proposed Terafab. In a Bloomberg Television interview, Fouquet emphasized that while such large-scale fab projects represent a major opportunity, they are contingent on ASML's ability to supply its critical chipmaking equipment.
Fouquet's comments, made at the Vivatech conference in Paris, come after he confirmed having discussions with Musk about the Terafab, which he considers a "serious endeavor." The project, intended to supply semiconductors for all of Musk's companies, would heavily rely on ASML's unique extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography systems. The CEO noted that the overall demand for AI infrastructure remains "enormous," underscoring the challenge of meeting demand from both existing customers and ambitious new facilities.
