BYD raised its 2026 sales forecast following a management briefing with JPMorgan. The automaker expects domestic sales to reach between 3.5 million and 4 million units. This represents a 13% growth rate, surpassing analyst expectations of flat or declining volumes.
The company maintains an overseas sales target of 1.5 million vehicles. This international goal marks a 50% increase from the previous year. Total global deliveries are now projected between 5 million and 5.5 million units for 2026.
Management cited strong order flow for new models as a primary growth driver. Robust demand in international markets is also supported by rising oil prices. The updated guidance comes despite a broader cooling in the global automotive market.
