BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu announced the company’s goal to become the world’s largest automaker by scale within five years at the June 9, 2026, annual general meeting.
International sales are projected to exceed the initial 1.6 million vehicle target for the year. Overall sales growth remains contingent on the production ramp-up of the Blade Battery.
BYD deployed its first commercial flash-charging station in Germany. The company plans to establish 3,000 ultra-fast charging sites across Europe by the end of 2026. This initiative supports a broader strategy to build 6,000 stations outside of China.
