BYD's vehicle sales rose for the third consecutive month in July. Sales jumped nearly 22% year-over-year, reaching 419,211 units. This marked BYD's highest monthly sales figure for 2026. Sales increased a modest 4% from June.
Robust international demand overwhelmingly drove the growth. Overseas passenger vehicle sales surged 124% from the prior year. These sales reached a record 179,841 units. This performance offset continued softness in its home market. Domestic sales declined by approximately 9%. Despite recent growth, BYD's cumulative sales for the first seven months remain down 10.5% year-over-year.
