Cipla’s US subsidiary, Invagen Pharmaceuticals, entered an exclusive partnership with China’s Qilu Pharmaceutical. The agreement focuses on the US commercialization of QL2107, a biosimilar version of Merck’s blockbuster cancer drug Keytruda (pembrolizumab).
Qilu will manage the development, regulatory registration, and manufacturing supply of the biosimilar. Cipla will leverage its established US commercial infrastructure for marketing and distribution following regulatory approval.
The collaboration aims to increase patient access and reduce costs for the top-selling immunotherapy. This partnership advances Cipla’s strategy to build a robust global oncology and biosimilar portfolio.
