GridCARE raised $64 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round. Sutter Hill Ventures, an early investor in Nvidia, and John Doerr led the investment. Doerr previously backed Google and Amazon. National Grid Partners, Emerson Collective, and Stanford University also participated. The round brings the company's total funding to $77.5 million.

The company uses a physics-based AI platform to identify and unlock underutilized power grid capacity. This technology aims to reduce data center connection times from years to months. GridCARE will use the capital to scale its "Power Acceleration" platform as AI demand strains energy infrastructure.

The startup currently manages projects representing over 2 gigawatts of new AI compute capacity. These operations span more than a dozen markets.
