NVIDIA and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) announced the completion of their first U.S.-produced semiconductor wafer for Blackwell AI chips at TSMC's Phoenix, Arizona facility. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang was present to mark the occasion, which represents a significant step in the effort to reshore advanced semiconductor manufacturing to the United States. In a joint statement, the companies highlighted that the TSMC Arizona facility is expected to generate thousands of high-tech jobs and foster a broad ecosystem of suppliers in the U.S. This milestone is part of a broader initiative to build out the infrastructure for AI factories within America.
