Roku is launching its first major homescreen redesign in over 10 years. The update transitions 100 million households from a static app grid to a dynamic, personalized interface.

The new design features a large marquee ad spot and recommendation tiles based on viewing habits. Roku aims to increase user engagement and drive revenue through advertising and subscriptions.

The update introduces AI-powered recommendations and a Quick Access panel for frequently used apps. The Roku City screensaver will also become interactive as part of the overhaul.
