Sun Pharmaceutical Industries signed a pricing agreement with the U.S. government during a White House ceremony. The company will provide Most Favored Nation pricing to state Medicaid programs for current and future innovative medicines.

In exchange, the U.S. government will delay Section 232 tariffs on Sun Pharma’s innovative products for more than two years. The United States represents the company's largest market for these medicines and generates a significant portion of its global revenue.

Sun Pharma shares fell between 1% and 2% in early trading following the announcement. Investors are evaluating the impact of reduced drug pricing against the financial benefits of the tariff delay.
