TSMC completed development and verification of its next-generation A16 process. This 1.6-nanometer technology introduces the Super Power Rail architecture. This system separates power lines from data signal wiring to enhance efficiency.

The A16 process delivers an 8% to 10% performance increase at the same power level compared to the N2P process. It also offers a 15% to 20% reduction in power consumption at identical speeds.

Mass production is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. The technology targets the advanced semiconductor market for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.
