TSMC will manufacture a new series of self-developed chips for Xiaomi using advanced 3-nanometer technology. The partnership features the Xring O3 smartphone processor, which has already entered mass production.

Xiaomi also confirmed TSMC will produce the Xring O100, a 6-nanometer neural processing unit for on-device large language models. The Xring D100 chip will utilize 3-nanometer processes for autonomous driving applications.

Both the Xring O100 and D100 are scheduled for deployment next year. TSMC shares closed down 1.45% on the Taiwan Stock Exchange on August 24th amid a broader market downturn.
