Samsung Electronics is now the world's largest automotive memory chip supplier, according to S&P Global Mobility. The company captured a 40% market share last year. This represents a five percentage point increase from the previous year.

Micron Technology fell to second place during the same period. Its market share dropped from 40% to 35%.

Samsung’s growth stems from an expanded customer base, particularly within China. Demand for high-performance memory is rising alongside advancements in autonomous driving and in-vehicle infotainment. This achievement provides Samsung a foundation for long-term growth in the automotive semiconductor sector.
