Samsung Electronics will invest $4 billion in its first chip-testing facility in Vietnam. The project addresses a global surge in memory chip demand driven by artificial intelligence.

The facility will be located in an industrial park north of Hanoi. Operations will focus on testing legacy DRAM and NAND chips.

Samsung remains the largest foreign corporate investor in Vietnam. The first factory will begin partial operations in November 2027. A second factory is scheduled to commence operations in 2031.
