BYD Malaysia signed an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Malaysian manufacturer Bus Cap Berhad. The partnership focuses on establishing a localized electric bus assembly and manufacturing facility in Perak, Malaysia.
The collaboration covers product localization, sales, marketing, distribution, and after-sales services. Both companies may expand the agreement to include electric trucks, forklifts, and vans based on market demand and feasibility.
This agreement marks a significant post-listing milestone for Bus Cap Berhad. The move strengthens BYD’s manufacturing presence across the strategic Southeast Asian region.
