BYD expanded its Asian electric vehicle operations on August 20, 2026, through two strategic developments.
In India, the company launched the SEALION 7 Dynamic, a lower-priced variant of its premium electric SUV. The new model features a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery. It offers a claimed driving range of 520 km.
Simultaneously, Singapore transport operator ComfortDelGro is investing over $10 million in BYD electric and hybrid vehicles. These units will join the Zig ride-hailing fleet to support fleet renewal and electrification strategies. The deal underscores growing commercial demand for BYD vehicles within the regional market.
