Reliance Industries delivered its first batch of high-efficiency solar modules from the Jamnagar Green Energy Giga Complex on May 29, 2026. This initial 200 megawatt-peak (MWp) batch of BIS-certified panels reportedly delivers energy yields significantly higher than current industry standards.
The Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex functions as an integrated hub that will also produce batteries, green hydrogen, and bio-energy infrastructure. Reliance is on track to reach an annual solar manufacturing capacity of 10 gigawatt-peak (GWp), with future plans to expand to 20 GWp.
This operational milestone signals a strategic shift for the company. The expansion aims to transition Reliance’s earnings profile away from its traditional energy business toward clean energy.
